There are no dues or fees in Al-Anon and Alateen meetings. Most groups pass a basket for voluntary contributions. Al-Anon Family Groups is a spiritual fellowship, not a religious one. Discussion of specific religious doctrine is avoided. Members of all faiths (or of none) are welcome.

Al-Anon Podcast. There is a series of 10 podcasts discussing some common concerns for people who have been affected by someone else’s drinking. The podcasts vary from 7 to 18 minutes each. It is a good place to begin.

Additional information Withdrawal symptoms range from a “hangover” after an alcoholic binge to life-threatening seizures. Withdrawal is typically accompanied by a variety of symptoms, many of which can be life threatening if not dealt with in the appropriate manner. The symptoms are listed for alcohol and different drugs on this website.
