Announcement: The Central Valley Intergroup Hotline is in immediate need of volunteers to staff the phone lines. Various shifts are available (generally only 3 to 4 hours in length) on weekends, weekdays and nights. Most shifts are done from your home or cell phone, but a few are available in the downtown Modesto office on weekdays from Noon to 5 PM.

The suggestion for volunteers is six months of good sobriety and a working cell or home phone and the ability to make a six-month minimum commitment. Complete training is provided.

Announcement: Sober volunteers are needed to participate in a study that attempts to address two questions.
1. What motivates people to be sober?
2. How strong a person’s belief is in their ability to maintain sobriety?
Participation involves answering 3 short surveys (100 questions) that will take between 15-30 minutes to complete.
It is a completely anonymous study about sobriety at Adler University in Chicago.
